Spider ou Fred Spider ( Color Blind / Plein Gaz Production / 2 Siders / Somosunekkipo )
* Originally born in Lyon (France), Fred Spider became addicted to music after having listened to the jazz organist "Jimmy Smith". From then on he always has been an active member of the huge family of music and started djaying in 1984, where he created his first band and played in the so-called "Mods" parties.

Whereas a lot of musicians specialize themselves in a unique style music, which could be sometimes restrictive, Fred Spider turned himself to an eclectic style. He took his inspiration from polymorphous beats and dancing grooves, trying to spread his well known good mood on the dancefloor.

He created his own label "Plein Gaz Productions" in 1998 and started to produce a lot of varied-style artists going from nu-jazz to broken beat, with some other releases of drum'n'bass. He produces as well his own band called "Colorblind" (6 musicians), which is a "colorfull" ambitious project melting together electronic sounds with organic grooves. After own album that received the support of top famous Dj's such as Mr Scruff, Rainer Truby, Coldcut, Quantic, Gilles Peterson, Daddy “Massive Attack” G, he is now working on the release of the 2nd opus. Moreover, Fred has also woven his spider web worldwide and played in different countries such as France, Japan, China, USA, UK, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Turkey and Sweden…

He moved to Barcelona in 2005 and met Fred Guzzo, resident of Café Royale. What could you expect more than an explosive meeting and powerful cooperation between these two musical fanatics ! They both quickly decided to create a new label called "2 siders", based on their respective influences of black music and jazz music.
